ROMIC to Tackle Railway Children’s Three Peaks Challenge by Rail
On 25th June 2026 a team of four from ROMIC Group will join rail industry colleagues from across the UK to take part in the Three Peaks by Rail challenge organised by the Railway Children.
Combining overnight travel, steep ascents and minimal rest, the challenge pushes participants both physically and mentally while raising vital funds for vulnerable children in the UK and around the world. Over the course of 48 challenging hours we will scale the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland – Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales, Scafell Pike (England) and Ben Nevis (Scotland) – walking some 37 km and ascending around 3,060 metres.
The ROMIC Group team will join hundreds of rail professionals and supporters united behind the Railway Children’s mission to protect children who find themselves alone and at risk on streets and transport networks. The charity works across the UK, India and Tanzania to provide safety, support and long-term opportunities for vulnerable young people.
Participation in the Three Peaks Challenge by Rail reflects ROMIC Group’s ongoing commitment to teamwork, resilience and making a positive impact. As the business continues to strengthen its relationships across the rail sector, the challenge represents an opportunity to support an important cause while demonstrating the determination and collaborative spirit that underpin the organisation.
Speaking ahead of the event, the team said: “We are incredibly proud to represent ROMIC Group in this year’s Three Peaks Challenge by Rail. This is a huge personal and physical challenge for everyone involved, but knowing we are helping Railway Children continue its vital work makes every step worthwhile.”
Training is already underway as the team prepares for the challenge ahead. Supporters, partners and colleagues are encouraged to follow the team’s progress and contribute to the fundraising campaign in the lead-up to the event.
