ROMIC Group HST Unveil at the Mid Norfolk Railway

ROMIC Group are proud to have unveiled their charter InterCity 125 High Speed Train set at a well-attended launch event at the Mid Norfolk Railway on the 7th October 2025.

Known primarily for export of used locomotives and rolling stock, 2025 has seen ROMIC Group diversify into the charter and hire market. The company already owns a pair of Class 20 locomotives, and has now added a full HST set to their hire portfolio, with the power cars sporting a brand new and very distinctive livery.

Comprised of two ex-GWR power cars (43094 and 43122) with a rake of former CrossCountry Mk3s, the set can be configured to client requirements with a range of vehicles available including TS, TS(D), TGS, TCC, TRFB and TF.

For the launch event a shortened set of 2+3 was used to showcase the train.

We’re looking forward to seeing the set out and about on the network on railtours, corporate charters and providing additional capacity for sports events and diversions.”

The ROMIC HST will be making its first public appearance at a special operating weekend at the Mid Norfolk Railway on the 18th and 19th October.
